ABAC School of Music Collaborates with King Prajadhipok’s Institute and the Medical Council of Thailand to Present “Don’t Call It Old, Just Grown Up” – A Special Music Project for the Elderly

The School of Music, Assumption University, in collaboration with the King Prajadhipok’s Institute and the Medical Council of Thailand, proudly presents a special event under the project “The Science of Sound, the Power of Heart” titled “Don’t Call It Old, Just Grown Up”. This initiative is part of a cultural music therapy research program titled “Thai Culture-Based Innovative Music Therapy for Aging Society.”

As part of this heartwarming initiative, the School of Music has composed four original songsrepresenting four regions and four unique musical styles, specifically designed to reflect the emotions, memories, and joy of elderly individuals. These songs aim to foster intergenerational understanding and promote mental well-being through the power of music.

The concert event will take place on Saturday, August 17, 2025, from 3:30 PM onward at the Health & Wellness Zone (in front of Pharmax), 3rd Floor, Paradise Park Shopping Center(accessible via the Sri Nakhon Express Yellow Line Station).

Audiences will be treated to live performances by well-known Thai artists including:
🎤 Tee – Jetset’er

🎤 Potay – MEAN and other special guest artists

Following the concert, there will be a special discussion event at 5:30 PM titled:
“CULTUROVATION: From Culture to Caring Heart – Igniting the Power of Art to Uplift Lives”
This session will feature insights from artists, academics, and professionals working in the field of aging society and cultural healing.
